Neurofeedback Therapy in Kingsburg California
Brain Training for Anxiety, ADHD, Sleep, and Trauma
If you feel anxious, wired, unfocused, or exhausted but unable to rest, your brain may be stuck in an unhealthy pattern. Neurofeedback therapy is a research-based brain training approach that helps regulate anxiety, improve focus, support trauma recovery, and restore healthy sleep. I offer neurofeedback therapy remotely throughout California for teens and adults who want lasting change at the nervous system level.
What Is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures your brainwaves in real time and gently trains them toward healthier patterns.
Your brain produces electrical activity throughout the day. These brainwaves shift depending on whether you are sleeping, focusing, relaxing, or under stress.
When brainwaves are balanced, you feel calm, focused, and emotionally steady. When they are dysregulated, you may experience anxiety, ADHD symptoms, insomnia, brain fog, or mood instability.
Neurofeedback helps your brain learn how to shift into a more regulated state.
How Neurofeedback Therapy Works
During a neurofeedback assessment and sessions, a small sensor is placed on your scalp attached to a headband with integrated sensors, to read your brain activity. Nothing is sent into your brain.
You watch your screen through the downloaded Myndlift app, while the system monitors your brainwaves. When your brain moves into a healthier pattern, it receives positive feedback. Your brain naturally begins repeating those patterns.
Over time, this improves your ability to regulate attention, mood, stress response, and sleep.
Most clients report feeling calmer, clearer, and more resilient as sessions progress.
Neurofeedback for Anxiety, ADHD, Sleep, and Trauma
Neurofeedback therapy supports the brain in regulating itself more effectively. When brainwave patterns are out of balance, you may feel anxious, unfocused, emotionally reactive, low in mood, or exhausted but unable to rest.
By training the brain toward healthier patterns, neurofeedback can improve emotional regulation, focus, sleep, and resilience.
- Neurofeedback for Anxiety
Chronic anxiety is often a brain stuck in high alert. When high frequency brainwaves stay elevated for too long, your nervous system can feel constantly on edge.
Neurofeedback for anxiety helps calm overactive patterns so your body can settle. Clients often report feeling more grounded, less reactive, and better able to handle stress without spiraling.
- Neurofeedback for ADHD
Neurofeedback therapy for ADHD works by supporting more stable attention patterns. ADHD brains often show excessive slower wave activity during tasks that require focus.
By encouraging healthier beta activity and reducing excessive theta patterns, neurofeedback can improve focus, impulse control, organization, and sustained attention.
It is a non medication approach that helps the brain practice staying engaged.
*** The American Academy of Pediatrics rated Neurofeedback a “Level 1 — Best Support” treatment for ADHD.
- Neurofeedback for Trauma and PTSD
Trauma can leave the nervous system stuck in fight or flight, even long after the danger has passed. You may understand logically that you are safe, yet your body still reacts.
Neurofeedback for trauma and PTSD helps the brain relearn safety. As regulation improves, traumatic memories often become less emotionally charged and easier to process. Clients frequently experience reduced hypervigilance, fewer intrusive symptoms, and improved emotional stability.
- Neurofeedback for Depression
Depression can be associated with imbalances in brain activity, including differences between the left and right hemispheres.
Neurofeedback for depression works to support healthier balance and flexibility in brain function. As regulation improves, clients often notice increased motivation, improved mood stability, and better cognitive clarity.
- Neurofeedback for Sleep Problems
If your brain struggles to power down at night, neurofeedback therapy can help regulate the patterns that support deeper, more restorative sleep.
Research has shown improvements in total sleep time, REM sleep, and reduced nighttime waking. When sleep improves, anxiety, focus, and mood often improve as well.
- Neurofeedback for Peak Performance
Neurofeedback is not only for symptom relief. It is also used for peak performance.
By improving stress recovery, sleep quality, and cognitive flexibility, neurofeedback can enhance mental clarity, focus, and resilience. Whether you are a student, professional, or athlete, brain training can support you in performing at your highest level.
Neurofeedback is especially helpful for individuals who:
• Feel stuck in fight or flight mode
• Have tried talk therapy but still feel physically dysregulated
• Want a brain based, non medication approach
• Are looking for a complementary treatment alongside counseling
Neurofeedback works at the level of the brain and nervous system. When the brain learns to regulate more effectively, everything else becomes easier.
If you are looking for neurofeedback therapy in California for anxiety, ADHD, trauma, depression, or sleep concerns, I would be happy to talk with you about whether this approach is right for you.
Why I Offer Neurofeedback
As a therapist, I believe insight, processing and new skills are powerful. But when the nervous system is overstimulated, these alone are often not enough.
Neurofeedback works directly with the brain and nervous system to create lasting change at a deeper level.
It helps your brain do what it was designed to do.
If you are looking for neurofeedback therapy in California and want to know whether it is right for you, I would love to talk with you.

What are neurofeedback sessions like?
Neurofeedback sessions are comfortable, noninvasive, and done remotely from your home.
You will use a simple headband with a small sensor connected to it along with an app on your phone. It reads your brain activity in real time. Nothing is sent into your brain.
As you relax and watch your screen, your brain receives subtle feedback when it shifts into healthier patterns. Over time, your brain naturally learns to repeat those patterns, improving regulation, focus, mood, and sleep.
We will monitor your progress together and adjust your training as needed to support your goals.
How long does neurofeedback take to work?
Every brain is different. Some clients begin noticing subtle changes within the first few sessions, such as better sleep or feeling a little calmer. For others, progress builds more gradually.
Most clients complete a series of sessions in order to create lasting change. We will discuss a plan that fits your goals and monitor progress along the way. The brain learns through repetition, so consistency matters.
How is neurofeedback different from talk therapy?
Talk therapy works through insight, processing emotions, and learning new skills. Neurofeedback works directly with the brain and nervous system.
If your nervous system is stuck in fight or flight, insight alone is sometimes not enough. Neurofeedback helps regulate the brain at a deeper level so that the work we do in therapy can feel easier and more sustainable.
Some clients choose neurofeedback on its own. Others combine it with counseling for deeper results.
How do I know if neurofeedback will work for me?
Neurofeedback is supported by decades of research, especially for anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and sleep difficulties. However, every person is different and no treatment can be guaranteed.
In my experience, clients who are consistent with sessions and open to the process tend to see meaningful improvement. We will evaluate together whether neurofeedback feels like the right fit for you.
How do we get started?
You can send me an email to schedule a free consultation call. During that call we can talk about your symptoms, your goals, and whether neurofeedback therapy in California is the right next step for you.
If you are ready we can order equipment for your home assessment and sessions. I will also set up your assessment and give you instructions on how to begin.
What is the cost of neurofeedback therapy?
Neurofeedback is $500 a month for unlimited sessions as well as the initial assessment and any follow up assessments. This also includes monitoring and adjusting your progress and protocols as well as regular check in appointments by phone, video or in person.
You will also need to purchase equipment for home use. This is a 1 time cost of $300 – $400.
If you are combining neurofeedback with therapy, we can discuss the best structure for your treatment plan. 50-55 minute therapy sessions are $150 for individuals and $175 for couples.
If you would like to know whether your insurance offers reimbursement, I will provide a superbill upon request, however most insurance plans do not cover neurofeedback.
