Anxiety Treatment
Has anxiety taken over your life?
Maybe there was a big life change and you don’t feel like you can handle it. Perhaps you are constantly distracted by what others think and are not able to be yourself. You may be struggling to enjoy the good things in your life because you’re so worried about the bad things that could happen. You may even struggle to engage with others or leave your home. Perhaps you’re feeling like anxiety is keeping you from doing what you love and from having fulfilling relationships.
Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:
- Constantly irritable
- Tired and unable to focus
- Avoiding people and activities that you love
Anxiety Treatment can help.
It may feel impossible now, but you can feel good again. You can become confident and free. You can truly be yourself and make choices based on your own values. And I can help you get there.
Anxiety Treatment helps you do 4 things:
- Understand how your brain works and how to stop the anxiety from taking over your life.
- Create goals and make a plan to take your life back from anxiety and have support in following through with it.
- Understand yourself and your values so you can make choices based on what you value and not on feelings or other’s opinions.
- Evaluate different parts of your life (mind, body, faith, relationships) and decide if you want to make changes to support you in your healing.
I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to Anxiety treatment comes from a place of understanding and hope: believing that you have the strength to lift the heavy weight of anxiety and feel free.
It’s time to feel free.
I can help you get there.
FAQ
Q: What are anxiety treatment sessions like?
A: We usually start with a check in about the previous week and any homework you were working on. We will celebrate your successes and work through the issues that may have kept you from completing all of your goals. We will decide together what will be beneficial to work on for the next week.
Sessions are led by what you need, so although I will add some structure to make sure we are moving forward, we will also spend time working through specific areas that have come up for you recently. Occasionally we will do some exercises to help you gain skills and learn more about yourself as you grow.
Q: How long do I need to be in therapy?
A: The length of therapy depends on each individual. Some clients are just beginning to notice some issues and are able to work through them in a few sessions. Most clients have been struggling for a long time, even a lifetime. In this circumstance we will have more areas to work on and it will take longer to reach your goals. I care about you and your individual journey and we will tailor the therapy process to your needs.
Q: How do I know if Anxiety Counseling will work for me?
A: Anxiety counseling works best with individuals who are motivated to work hard and get better. We will work together as a team. You will have support and guidance, but there will be some hard and uncomfortable work for you to do. Because each individual is different and there is no treatment that works for everyone, I am not able to guarantee that this will work for you. It is my experience that clients who come in willing to work hard, follow our individual plan and sometimes feel uncomfortable are able to create lasting change in their life.
Q: How do we get started?
A: Send me an email. We can set up a free consultation call for us to connect with each other and answer any questions you have or if you’re ready we can schedule your first appointment through email.
